UCPhoneLine is a simple solution for businesses and individuals that need an analogue line beyond the planned UK switch-off of the traditional analogue network (January 2027). Unlike almost every other analogue line replacement product, it needs no internet or WiFi — and its integral battery keeps your line working for up to 15 hours without mains electricity.
UCPhoneLine presents standard analogue phone sockets and connects over the mobile network. Plug in any ordinary phone, lift autodialler, alarm or care system and it works exactly like a normal phone line — no rewiring, no engineer visits, no internet connection and no dependency on copper lines.
UCPhoneLine is a Device-as-a-Service product: an initial cost followed by a monthly service charge. Outbound calls are free when you subscribe to a call bundle, and any calls outside the bundle are invoiced monthly in arrears.
UCPhoneLine is ready to use straight out of the box. Connect the included aerial to the back of the unit, plug your phone into one of the two sockets (using the included converter cable if necessary), then connect the power supply and switch on. After about a minute, the LCD display shows the mobile signal strength and the current date & time — and you can start making and receiving calls.
Most analogue services are migrating to VoIP — but VoIP needs an internet service and usually fails in a power outage. Some people don't want to be forced to have the internet, and need the comfort of knowing their phone line will work even during a mains failure. UCPhoneLine does exactly that.
Hundreds of thousands of vulnerable phone line users in the UK rely on equipment that needs a simple analogue line which works even during a power failure — large button phones, hearing aid amplification, movement and fall monitors and emergency call alarms.
Programme UCPhoneLine with the number of the lift (or taxi) control centre and it automatically dials the moment the analogue phone goes off hook. Add multiple control centre numbers and it will sequence-dial through them until the call is answered.

UCPhoneLine has been designed to deliver as many traditional analogue line features as possible, and the functionality is continually being developed and extended. Remember — traditional analogue lines can no longer be ordered or installed in the UK.
